You can join a dynamic team of professionals where your contributions and voice make a difference.   Job Description/Duties Include: Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient. Sterilizes and delivers instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; passing instruments. Selects, mixes, and places materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth. Exposes and develops radiographic studies; pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts. Maintains patient confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols. Completes preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Applies sealants, takes impressions, performs coronal polishing, applies topical anesthetic,  applies topical fluoride Obtains prior authorizations  Scans Handles patient phone calls MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  High School diploma or equivalent required Current radiography certification required Current EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) certification required  Dental Assistant certification as required by state; ability to become certified QualificationsCornerstone Care is a Non-Profit, Federally Qualified Health Center with 14 locations and a mobile unit, serving communities throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, and Northern West Virginia.  Our mission is to improve the health of our patients and all the residents of the communities we serve, with special concern for the medically underserved and low-income populations.
