POSITION SPECIFICS
Postdoctoral Scholar - Condensed Matter Experiment - Terrones Lab
The Eberly College of Science, Department of Physics at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill one Postdoctoral Researcher position in the area of Raman and Photoluminescence spectroscopy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on the synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of two-dimensional materials that include graphene, borono notride and transition metal dichalcogenides. Vast expertise is needed in Resonant Raman spectroscopy and Photoluminescence spectroscopy at high and low temperatures.
Requirements include a Ph.D. in Physics, and the ideal candidate should have experience with experimental condensed matter physics. Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
