While our name has changed, our commitment to our people, clients, and communities is stronger than ever.  We are looking for a Chief Inspector in Rhode Island that serves as the on-site lead representative responsible for overseeing all construction engineering and inspection activities associated with bridges and other structures on related transportation infrastructure projects in Rhode Island.  This position is responsible for managing and supervising a team of construction inspectors in the field, observing and inspecting contractor construction operations for compliance with RIDOT specifications, FHWA requirements, project plans, and quality standards, while safeguarding public safety, environmental compliance, and project delivery objectives. Must have the ability to coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, sub-consultants, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work. Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.   The Expertise You'll Bring Minimum of B.S. in Civil Engineering Registered Professional Engineer required 10+ years of demonstrated experience in roadway design and plan preparation on transportation projects Experienced in using AutoCAD (and/or Microstation) and be familiar with the Green Book and other key transportation-related guides and standards. Experience in design in accordance with state transportation agencies’ guidelines and procedures is preferred.  Excellent writing and speaking skills are essential as the selected candidate will be responsible for preparing study and design reports for clients; interacting with internal project teams, state agencies, municipal review boards and clients; as well as assisting the firm in the preparation of proposals. Anticipated Base Salary Range: $112,000- $175,000 annually  We're committed to making competitive offers that recognize the unique experience, expertise, and value each candidate brings to our team.
