The Warehouse Associate works in our warehouse -- responsibilities may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and/or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse using life trucks, order pickers, and/or electric and manual pallet jacks. The Warehouse Associate must keep the work area clean and ensure safety, quality, and speed objectives are met.

Candidates with previous warehouse, RF scanner, and forklift/order picker experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position M-F 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Must be flexible and able to work nights and weekends as needed. Days and hours are assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Excellent communication skills required, including the ability to speak, understand, and read English
• Forklift and/or order picker experience required
• Computer and RF Scanner experience preferred

Work Environment 

This position works in a warehouse setting with limited climate control. Must be able to perform in the cold of winter and heat of the summer. This role routinely uses some light warehouse equipment such as scan guns, box cutters, and tape dispensers and motorized equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and order pickers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to read in English.
