Fort Washington Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate, collaborative team. What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Technician, you'll work alongside our veterinarians to provide outstanding medical care and support throughout every stage of a patient's visit. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with exams, surgery, dentistry, and medical procedures
  • Safely handling and restraining patients
  • Collecting laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and other diagnostics
  • Administering medications and treatments as directed
  • Monitoring hospitalized and surgical patients, including anesthesia monitoring
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Educating clients on treatment plans, medications, nutrition, and at-home care
  • Maintaining a clean, organized treatment area and properly sterilized equipment
  • Assisting with inventory management and ensuring medical supplies are well stocked

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2 years of veterinary hospital experience required
  • Comfortable handling dogs and cats safely and compassionately
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with veterinary practice management software
  • Anesthesia monitoring experience
  • Surgical, dental, or radiology experience
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional growth
