SEI’s Wealth business is growing the Sales & Client Team to continue to accelerate business growth. To support this expansion, SEI is seeking a qualified Relationship Manager to join the team.

This professional will be responsible for the engagement and growth of SEI’s current advisor-client base, with efforts garnered at relationship activation, growing share-of-wallet, and retention, as well as territory management
to drive the continued growth in the independent Broker/Dealer channel of SEI’s business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a growth-minded sales professional who is passionate about leading change, and whose business development and buyer-influencing skills will build long-lasting client partnerships.

You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding territory growth goals and overseeing the totality of the client experience across business development, relationship management, account management, and experience for advisors and firms in your territory of the independent broker/dealer channel. You must be adept at using data to drive decisions, while defining opportunities for growth and solving client needs.

This role reports to the Managing Director of the West Region within the Wealth Sales & Client Team and works cross-functionally across the Marketing, Investment, Technology, and Service organizations of the business.

This role may be either territory-based in the West Region of the U.S. or SEI Headquarters based and will cover strategic relationships across the region.

What you will do:

  • Lead business development, client relationship, and territory management for existing advisor-client firms in the independent broker/dealer channel of the Sales & Client Team.

  • Proactively engage advisor-client relationships to increase their engagement and satisfaction with SEI, including ongoing training and business updates, investment strategy design, consultative consulting, pricing negotiation, overall service and engagement experience.

  • Execute SEI’s consultative and collaborative relationship management and sales processes to unlock SEI’s full suite-of-solutions for advisors, while being the key connection in developing additional opportunities for SEI to grow share-of-wallet, win the next new account, and retain assets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, while shaping and implementing complex, diverse and collaborative sales growth plans, with a focus on motivating clients to embrace the full suite-of-solutions that SEI delivers.

  • Master the curation of the SEI Asset Management offering to drive adoption across a constantly evolving suite of investment strategies and solutions.

  • Generate new interest and prospective client leads to assist in the contribution to the inorganic, new client growth of the Wealth business.

What we need from you:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services client sales and service support, with direct experience in independent broker/dealer channel sales strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or in a related field.

  • Advanced degree or credentials, specifically in the business administration and/or planning areas—MBA and/or CFP®—preferred.

  • Current NASAA Series 65 or Series 66 license to qualify as an investment advisor representative (IAR), or ability to obtain within 90 days.

  • Strong knowledge of advisor custody and technology platforms as well as direct experience in influencing business owners in this channel and delivering both custody/technology and business-centric advice and influence.

  • Experience in multi-channel communication mediums, including individual face-to-face interactions, in-person one-to-many presentations, virtual one-to-many presentations, live video, recorded video, phone and email.

  • Ability to influence decision-making at the highest levels of an organization, while executing with a client-first mindset, and an established background in consultative sales.

  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills, plus the track record of exceeding goals.

  • Excellent communicator (in both the written and verbal form), both proactively and reactively, with a track record in client relationship management and buyer satisfaction.

  • A self-starter and an influencer, with a track record of both working independently and within a team, and working collaboratively with a day-to-day partner.

  • This position includes territory management and up to 25% travel potential.
