Behavior Health Technician – ABA

Help a child discover what they CAN do.

Are you someone who loves working with kids, celebrating the little wins, and making a difference that truly matters?

At Silver Lining ABA, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, build confidence, and live their best life. As a Behavior Health Technician (BHT), you’ll play an important role in helping children with behavioral health diagnoses - including, and primarily, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) - develop skills, gain independence, and reach meaningful goals that can positively impact their everyday lives. And the best part? You don’t need to be an ABA expert to get started. We’ll teach you.

As a BHT, you’ll work one-on-one with children helping them learn skills that matter in the real world—from communicating and building relationships to becoming more independent and navigating everyday activities.

  • You’ll celebrate the first successful request.
  • The new skill they finally mastered.
  • The moment they do something independently for the first time.

Those moments are why we do what we do. Every client is different, which means every day brings something new. You’ll follow an individualized treatment plan developed by our clinical team and use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, including positive reinforcement, to help each child make meaningful progress.

You won’t be doing it alone. Our BHTs work closely with BCBAs and other members of our clinical team, receiving ongoing support, coaching, and feedback along the way.

No ABA Experience? That's OK!

We want YOU to apply!

Whether you’re an experienced Behavior Health Technician or you're exploring a career working with children for the very first time, Silver Lining ABA provides the training and support you need to succeed.

We provide:

  • Paid training to prepare you for the role
  • Training designed to prepare you for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam

  • Annual training and professional development opportunities
  • Opportunities to grow your career in the behavioral health field

This could be an amazing opportunity if you’re interested in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Social Work, Counseling, Healthcare, Child Development, or a related field.

As a BHT, you may:

  • Help children develop communication, social, academic, daily living, and independence skills
  • Use positive reinforcement to encourage progress
  • Follow individualized treatment plans developed by our clinical team
  • Collect data and document each session
  • Work collaboratively with BCBAs, families, teachers, and other professionals
  • Help create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment
  • Celebrate progress—both the big milestones and the tiny victories

No two children are the same, and no two days are exactly alike.
