We live our core values every day: People-First Service Accountability Empowerment Grit & Perseverance Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Position Summary The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing all on-site operations and achieving financial and operational objectives for the community. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate reporting, strong resident satisfaction, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws, while helping drive overall property performance. What You’ll Do Operations & Financial Support Partner with the General Manager to maximize revenue and manage expenses within budget Ensure accuracy of financial data, reporting, and revenue-related analytics Oversee rent collection processes and coordinate with collection agencies as needed Ensure all billing and revenue entries are accurate within property management systems Resident Experience & Service Respond to resident service requests and ensure timely resolution with maintenance team Maintain high levels of resident satisfaction through proactive communication and follow-up Support resolution of resident concerns and ensure proper documentation and follow-through Leasing & Property Oversight Assist with leasing activities including tours, applications, and lease execution Inspect units, common areas, and property conditions to ensure standards are maintained Support unit turns and readiness for scheduled move-ins Team & Operational Execution Partner with the General Manager to implement and maintain operational standards Assist in training and developing on-site team members Support scheduling and coordination of team activities and responsibilities Ensure adherence to safety policies, inspections, and key control procedures Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal housing and employment laws Support eviction processes in coordination with legal counsel when required Compile and analyze data for reporting and operational insights Stay informed on industry trends and local market conditions Resident Engagement Support planning and execution of resident events and programming Partner with Resident Life teams to enhance community engagement Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned to support community success What We’re Looking For Required Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in property management Strong understanding of property operations and financial fundamentals Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems Demonstrated leadership and team support capabilities Ability to obtain any required state leasing license within required timeframe Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Experience in student housing or multifamily environments Work Schedule Primarily Monday–Friday Extended hours, evenings, and weekends required based on business needs Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout the property and conduct inspections Frequent use of computer and office equipment Ability to communicate effectively in person, phone, and written formats Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
