Overview

Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC Neurosurgeon to join our established Neuroscience Institute in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.


Opportunity Details

  • PRN position
  • Candidates must have completed a Functional Neurosurgery Fellowship
  • Join a large, vertically integrated health system with a service area of over 3.2 million in the Central and Southern Illinois regions
  • Our Neurosurgery team has 5 Daytime APPs, 3 Nocturnal APPs, outpatients APPs and excellent support staff
  • Strong referral base with little local competition
  • Single hospital with strong hospitalist and critical-care support
  • Dedicated Neuro-Intensivists
  • Carle Foundation Hospital is 1 of 4 hospitals in the U.S. with a Siemens 7T MRI Scanner available for clinical and research use
  • State-of-the-art equipment including Zeiss KINEVO® microscope, StealthStation™ Surgical Navigation system
  • Carle Neuroscience Institute (CNI) provides comprehensive medical and surgical services for our patients with brain and spine disorders and participates in several clinical trials for patients who come from all over the Central Illinois region
  • Our collegial team includes Neurology (adult & pediatric), Epileptology and EMU, Vascular Neurology, Neuro-interventional, Neuro-critical care, Neuro-radiology, Neuro-otology, Neuro-ophthalmology, Neuro-rehabilitation, Neuro-psychology, Pain management program and Sleep medicine program
  • Collaborative opportunities with the University of Illinois Beckman Institute for a variety of neuroscience translational research projects as well as opportunity for faculty appointment with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation's first college of medicine focused on the intersection of engineering and medicine
  • Opportunity to teach medical students through the Carle Illinois College of Medicine

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $500 - $525/hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
