To ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.   Regulatory Requirements Current State of Ohio MA or Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure Current BCLS certification through the American Heart Association Graduate of an accredited school of nursing   Language Skills Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills.   Skills Basic computer knowledge. Prior knowledge of EHR system is preferred   QualificationsQualifications Medical Assistant certification is preferred. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required. MA Certification, education, or previous clinical experience as an MA in a clinical setting required. Preferred Skills Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills. Previous experience with an EMR system is preferred. Physical Demands Physical posture/mobility: Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift (6–12 hours cumulative); ability to move quickly between patient rooms, units, and departments; use stairs and elevators as required. Patient handling/lifting: Frequent assisting, transferring, repositioning, and turning of patients; ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance or using mechanical lifts. Perform manual transfers, bed-to-chair moves, and ambulation support. Pushing/pulling: Frequent pushing/pulling of equipment, stretchers, treatment carts, wheelchairs, and beds (forces up to 100+ lbs when assisted by equipment or team). Manual dexterity: Frequent fine and gross motor skills for procedures (IV insertion, wound care), charting, medication preparation, using instruments, and operating medical devices. Repetitive motion: Repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements for procedures, documentation, and equipment use. Postural demands: Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting for patient care tasks and equipment access; occasional climbing. Standing tolerance: Ability to stand for prolonged periods during procedures, rounds, and bedside care. Vision: Near and distance visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination sufficient for reading monitors, medication labels, charts, small-print instructions, and identifying patient condition changes. Hearing/speech: Ability to hear and understand patient and team communication in person and via telephone/pagers; clear verbal communication for patient interactions and team coordination. Sensory/proprioception: Tactile sensitivity for palpation, assessment, and procedure performance. Environmental tolerance: Work in variable clinical environments including patient rooms, procedure areas, and outdoors for transport; exposure to bodily fluids, cleaning agents, latex or alternatives, infectious agents, and occasional unpleasant odors; ability to wear personal protective equipment (masks, gowns, gloves, respirators) as required. Cognitive/psychosocial demands: Ability to concentrate, multitask, prioritize, make rapid clinical judgments, follow protocols, document accurately, and remain calm in emergencies; manage emotional stress of patient care.
