About The Opportunity

As an HR Generalist at ORBIS, you’ll play a key, hands‑on role in supporting a people‑focused, safety‑driven culture -- from recruiting and onboarding, to benefits, HRIS administration, and employee communications. You’ll analyze HR data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and help drive a positive, compliant, and engaging workplace. This position is ideal for an HR professional ready to take on broader responsibility, strengthen cross‑functional relationships, and play an active role in shaping the employee experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Support core HR functions including recruiting, selection, onboarding, orientation, training, employee relations, and payroll
  • Assist with communication and enrollment for benefits, safety, and wellness programs in partnership with functional teams
  • Oversee the hourly performance management process and coach managers on addressing performance issues
  • Administer HRIS transactions, including payroll changes, status updates, leave entitlements, and attendance
  • Support FMLA, disability, and other leave programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, wage and hour regulations, OSHA requirements, and company policies
  • Maintain visibility on the floor and promote open‑door communication with employees
  • Participate in professional development to stay current on HR best practices and regulatory changes
  • Perform additional HR duties as assigned

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Minimum 2 years of HR generalist experience, including benefits, HRIS administration, employee relations, training, and recruiting
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule based on business needs

Preferred

  • PHR or SHRM‑CP certification
  • Workday experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or multi‑site environment

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Flexibility required to support 2nd & 3rd shift overlap 1-2x/week
