We are seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team and make an impact across both Sports Medicine and Urgent Care. During the week, you’ll support athletes and patients through specialized sports medicine care, and on weekends, you’ll provide hands-on care in a fast-paced Urgent Care setting. Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures
- Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure
- Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care
- Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate’s Degree) required.Â
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:Â
- National Healthcare AssociationÂ
- American Association of Medical AssistantsÂ
- National Center for Competency TestingÂ
- National Certified Medical Assistant Â
- National Association of Health ProfessionalsÂ
- American Registry of Medical AssistantsÂ
- American Allied HealthÂ
- American Medical Technologists
- Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
- For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
