THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Permanganates Plant Manager, the Process Engineer will play a key role in driving long-term plant efficiency, reliability, and process stability through data analysis, technical expertise, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Here’s what you’ll own: 

  • Drive long-term improvements in plant efficiency and reliability by analyzing operational data and identifying trends that impact performance
  • Anticipate and prevent process upsets or equipment failures through proactive monitoring and predictive analysis
  • Lead and support root cause analysis efforts to eliminate production losses and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Serve as a technical advisor across operations, guiding process changes, equipment upgrades, and operating parameters
  • Plan, evaluate, and support capital projects that enhance process performance, safety, and cost efficiency

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The right candidate is a detail-oriented, data-driven problem solver who thrives in a chemical manufacturing environment and brings a proactive, safety-first approach to improving plant performance.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent technical background
  • 7-10 years of experience in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret process data and identify improvement opportunities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and operations teams

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Experience leading or supporting capital projects
  • Prior experience in operations, maintenance, or technical support roles
  • Exposure to root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
