ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role you are responsible for directing and assisting the people we support with their day-to-day tasks while working. This position carries responsibility for engaging, coordinating and monitoring productivity by providing training and oversight to the daily operation. The position is similar to that of a floor supervisor or foreman in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze jobs at the work site through observation and hands-on assessment. Responsible for job set-up and quality control according to specifications.
  • Records all workers' productivity, attendance and payroll sheets. Carries responsibilities to determine hourly production rates for each individual worker and communicate that information with appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain daily contact logs on all workers indicating the need for additional extended service follow-along support. Provides services to the people we support at their worksite as stated in the Habilitation Plan.
  • Perform job retention activities, as necessary, to include, but not be limited to: job assessments, job readiness skills training, work/life skills training
  • Provide one on one job training and instruction on a job site to develop effective and constructive solutions to the challenges of work. Model work appropriate attitudes and behaviors.
  • Maintains Service Notes and all appropriate service documentation on the person in compliance with Medicaid, OPWDD, ACCES-VR and Oneida County OMH standards and that services were adequately provided in any billing period.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with three years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Valid NYS Driver's License
