Job Summary

Mohawk Valley Health System is looking for an Orthopedic PA/NP that would be hospital based. We currently have 2 PA’s and one NP. This is a hospital based position. NO clinic duties or call. The person would primarily cover the floor patients, ER and hospital Consults, and OR if needed. 12 hours shifts from 8am – 8pm, 7on/7off model shared with an NP.

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program OR certification from an accredited NP program OR completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.
Ability to meet and maintain credentialing requirements and hospital priviledges.
Knowledge and competency in a wide range of clinical areas.
Familiar with EHR/EMR software.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

REQUIRED:

Current NYS Nurse Practitioner licenses OR Current NYS license as a Physician Assistant with prescription privileges.
Current BCLS, ACLS certifications.

PREFERRED:

Active ANCC certification in relevant specialty
