JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Technician I, within a specified area of production, is responsible for the inspection and test of incoming materials, work in process, and finished goods to establish material quality and lot acceptance to specifications, along with operating relevant test equipment and input of related data into quality system databases, and the generation of required reports. The Quality Technician I is expected to be competent in all relevant role requirements.Â
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):Â
• Perform various testing required for acceptance of incoming raw materials and production materials in a timely mannerÂ
• Enter data into quality system databases to document and maintain test, inspection, and calibration recordsÂ
• Work according to written operating proceduresÂ
• Operate computer programs to generate reports and issue quality certificationsÂ
• Maintain quality hold cages and containment of non-conforming materialÂ
• Work with basic math, statistical, and chemical equationsÂ
• Partner with technical support, manufacturing, quality engineers, as well as operations staff, to meet objectivesÂ
• Read and interpret simple drawings and diagramsÂ
• Exercise authority to accept or reject materialÂ
• Exercise authority to remove monitoring and measurement equipment from serviceÂ
• Uphold the standards necessary to maintain our business certifications and to maintain good quality standards and practices associated with themÂ
• Performs other duties or special projects as assignedÂ
REQUIREMENTS:Â
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredÂ
• 1 year work experience requiredÂ
• Knowledge of quality standards and statistical concepts preferredÂ
• Be able to perform statistical analysis using various software packagesÂ
• Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Word and ExcelÂ
• Strong oral and written communication skillsÂ
• Ability to work independently or in a team, as needed to meet goalsÂ
• Demonstrable strong interpersonal skills • Strong organizational skills
• Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

1st Shift - 7 am to 3:30 pm
3rd Shift - 11 pm to 7:30 am

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
