The Transitional Housing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Project Home and Evelyn’s House, including staff supervision, scheduling, program administration, and supply coordination. Provides comprehensive case management and service coordination for Rapid Re-Housing participants to support housing stability and achievement of program goals. Maintains program data and reporting requirements, assists with client intake and admissions, ensures compliance with agency policies, and collaborates with community partners to enhance services and resources. Participates in trainings, agency meetings, and the after-hours on-call rotation to support effective program operations.  


 Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned


  • Day to day oversight of Project Home and Evelyn’s House

  • Direct supervision of Evelyn’s House Service Coordinator and Evelyn’s House Residence Counselors*

  • Responsible for completing and monitoring monthly staff schedule. 

  • Coordinates Evelyn’s House program supplies orders

  • Maintain an assigned caseload of Project Home Rapid Re-Housing participants and provide comprehensive service coordination and case management to support participants in achieving housing stability and program goals.

  • Attends Mohawk Valley Housing Coalition and Continuum of Care meetings in order to ensure effective community collaboration. 

  • Responsible for entering data for both Evelyn’s House and Project Home in the Homeless Management Information System in cooperation with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Continuum of Care program. 

  • Responsible for preparing required federal and state reports as required. 

  • Assists Housing Manager and Service Coordinator with new client intake assessments.

  • Assists Housing Manager with ensuring that Program purchases are made in accordance with agency policy. *

  • May act as a liaison for the program by attending community meetings with a focus on improving services and resources for residents. 

  • Attends trainings and agency-wide meetings.

  • Responsible for the afterhours on-call rotation.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to visit client homes. 


Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; and significant related experience and/or training in the areas of residential living, transitional youth or human services; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year of experience supervising staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises full and part time employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; and significant related experience and/or training in the areas of residential living, transitional youth or human services; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year of experience supervising staff.

Certificates and Licenses:

Cleared with the New York State Central Registry and New York State Justice Center

Valid New York State driver's license
