Sundays - Thursdays 8pm - 6am * Paid Meal Break * Rate of Pay + $2 shift differential per hour


Essential Functions: 

  • Ensures assigned warpers/creels produce consistent quality warps for the weaving process.
  • Ensures assigned warpers/creels are properly set up and monitored while running.
  • Performs basic warper/creel maintenance and preventative maintenance to maximize output while minimizing down time.
  • Transportation, installation, removal, and storage of warps/beams to/from warpers.
  • Knowledgeable in operation of all warpers, even those not normally assigned to.
  • Splits yarn as required using yarn winder.
  • Accurately enter job specific information into Sturges integrated computer system.
  • Unloads and stores yarn delivered by trucking companies.
  • Follow all safety rules and maintains a neat and clean work area.
  • All Team Members of Sturges shall know and understand all safety, human resource, and quality policies, including the procedures, work instructions applicable to their position, and how their goals relate to the success of the company.

Education & Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Basic mechanical repair knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret draw sheets.
  • Knowledge of use of all applicable measuring devices.
  • Must be able to distinguish between colors.
  • Basic computer proficiency. 
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Attention to detail.
  • This position is deemed a safety sensitive position always requiring alertness.
  • Able to read, write and fluently communicate in English.
