Overview
Join us as an Electrical Apprentice, where you'll embark on an exciting journey to develop your skills in the electrical field! This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within a dynamic team. You'll gain hands-on experience in both industrial and commercial settings, working alongside seasoned professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge. Get ready to dive into the world of electrical systems, low and high voltage applications, and construction site practices!

What you'll do

  • Assist experienced electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in both industrial and commercial environments.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project execution.
  • Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to ensure systems are functioning correctly.
  • Participate in the installation of low voltage and high voltage wiring while following the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members on various construction tasks, including frame carpentry, to enhance your overall skill set.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Basic qualifications

  • Previous experience or coursework related to electrical work is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in industrial or commercial electrician roles is a plus.
  • Understanding of NEC standards and regulations.
  • Construction site experience that showcases your ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills that enable you to follow complex instructions accurately.

Experience:

  • Commercial construction: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • TDLR (Required)
