Job DetailsJob Location: Valdese, NC 28690 Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers. The base pay for this position is $16.90.  We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate. Job Summary: Return yarn to correct bin location. Tools and Equipment Used: Filling buggy/pin truck, Cherry Picker, Tablet or scan gun.   Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to IS0 9001 work instructions and standards: Determine yarn put up from Supervisor and/or designated location. (Includes both High/Low locations). Place yarn into the correct bin location. Stack neatly/and in the correct position as per ISO work instruction. Make sure all SAP transactions are performed correctly and yarn is properly adjusted. Return empty yarn buggy to the assigned area. Keep yarn bins clean and in order when putting up yarn. Make sure to bag all “white” returned yarn if not already bagged. Perform other duties when assigned by Supervisor. This includes all 5S assignments. Work scheduled overtime.   Safety: Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers. Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately. Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards. Ear protection required in Weave Room at all times and safety belt/harness required when using motorized equipment.   QualificationsQualifications: Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others. Basic reading, writing, and math skills Must be able to discern colors and pass a color blindness test. Must have a license to operate PIT equipment. (i.e.cherry picker, etc.) *Training done in-house
