Pay Rate: $17.50 Shift Premium & Attendance Bonus: $18.57 DEPARTMENT: Sample REPORTS TO: Department Supervisor FLSA: Hourly - Non-Exempt EST./REVISED: 2/25/2025 Job Summary: Manage sample inventory through all areas of the sample department. Tools and Equipment used: Motorized equipment, general office supplies, LXE gun, scissors Drive forklift and cherry pickers. Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards: Add, delete, and maintain pieces in the sample inventory. Track, expedite, and close out sample tickets in SAP. Maintain hardcopy (notebook) of sample pieces received daily. Order samples, re-makes, and shortages as needed. Pulls and places patterns on the cutting table in the order to be cut. Work with the cut area for fabric needs. Perform other duties as assigned. . Other Requirements: Assemble color lines as needed. Put “pattern/color labels” on line items as needed. Maintain housekeeping throughout the department, i.e. sweep, trash, etc. Pack and remove scrap boxes. Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor. Safety: Safely perform all duties following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers. Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor as soon as possible. Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards. Maintain 5S standards. PPE as required by policy and guidelines. Follow all safety requirements and rules when using PIT QualificationsQualifications: Meet all pre-employment requirements. Basic reading, writing, and math skills as required by the position. Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others A forklift license is required for moving buggies and lifting fabric to storage tubes. Basic computer skills and use of LXE guns. Work Scheduled overtime as needed Keep the work area clean.
