Job DetailsJob Location: Valdese, NC 28690Job Shift: 2ndValdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers. 2nd and 3rd shift do receive a shift premium of $1.00. We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate.  Job Summary: To provide yarn for warper   Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards: Creel yarn for the warper. Keep cones tied in warper creel. Assist warper tender in creel changes. Learn the patterns and positions to hang when running multiple colors. Adjust arbors as needed. Sweep when needed – at least three times per shift. Open yarn cases and break down boxes. Take out empty cones and trash once per shift. Learn to operate the warper and relieve the warper tender for breaks. Cut off beams. Help warper tender bring ends up to relays. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor. Work scheduled overtime. Safety: Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers. Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor as soon as possible. Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards. Maintain 5S standards. PPE Required: QualificationsQualifications: Basic reading, writing, and math skills Must meet all pre-employment qualifications. Manual dexterity Ability to tie a weaver’s knot Ability to climb, reach, and bend
