Job DetailsJob Location: Valdese, NC 28690Job Shift: 3rdValdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers. Job Summary: Monitor activities in the department   Essential Functions: Perform the following duties in accordance with ISO-9001 work instructions and standards. Oversee training of associates on shift. Report attendance and maintain time on shift. Notify operators of production needs and job assignments on shift. Monitor operator work schedules and break schedules on shift. Monitor production and counsel operators with production deficiencies. Maintain daily and weekly production reports. Report quality problems to the supervisor and be responsible for quality control decisions on shift. Assist operators in their job or in running equipment when needed. Maintain good housekeeping in all areas. Advise management when attendance, quality, productivity, and other work ethic issues require disciplinary action. Perform other duties as assigned Work scheduled overtime   Safety: Report all job related injuries to the supervisor immediately. Report any safety hazards to the supervisor immediately. Actively participate in safety programs, which identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards. Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by the company. Maintain 5 S Standards in all areas of work Hearing protection in high noise areas, seat belt for tow motor, safety belt for cherry pickers, etc. Qualifications  Qualifications: High school preferred Leadership ability Very good communication skills Self-motivation Good organizational skills Familiarity with department product Very good reading and math skills Computer experience Forklift license
