Job DetailsJob Location: Valdese, NC 28690JOB TITLE:                 Sectional Warp Operator        DEPARTMENT:          Sectional Warping REPORTS TO:           Department Supervisor FLSA:                          Hourly - Non Exempt   Job Summary: Make warps used in slashing and weaving   Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards: Operate sectional warping machine. Assist in creeling new patterns and in creeling in general when possible. Set all parameters in the computer to assure a correctly run beam. Report any quality problems to the supervisor. Make sure section width is correct on beam and on drum; Check the pattern before starting up the machine. Work with creeler/tender to pullover new warps. The tender pulls the warp over while the creeler assists with tight or crossed ends. Tie in new wends when warp is stopped. Doff sectional warper. Wrap beams in plastic and identify beams. Provide loom or section beams for warpers. Work scheduled overtime. Perform other duties as assigned. Safety: Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers. Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately. Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards. Maintain 5 S standards. QualificationsQualifications: Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others. Meet all pre-employment requirements. Basic reading, writing, and math skills with ability to read a tape measure. Creeling experience required and tending experience preferred. Manual dexterity with ability to tie a weaver’s knot. Ability to climb, reach, and bend. Ability to drive a tow motor and obtain a license – must have license.
