The Junior Logistics and Communications Specialist will be responsible for providing weapons system technical support in all
facets, as well as maintaining and sustaining the integration of all equipment within the system to accomplish the SF base
defense warfighting mission. This position is also responsible for conducting system evaluations, enforcing requirements,
performing trainings, and providing updates on the system to appropriate personnel. The Junior Logistics and Communications
Specialist will be one of the weapons system experts onsite.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide weapons systems technical support, planning, consultation, analysis, expert advice, and

execution to establish, integrate, maintain, sustain, and improve the weapons systems and future

capabilities for training and operational/tactical utilization

• Develop, maintain, and sustain weapons systems and integration of SF UTC, pre-positioned and WRM

equipment to ensure a high degree of efficiency, with the oversight and assistance of the Senior TLCS

• Provide AFSFC staff the ability to validate the requirement of weapons, systems, and operation systems

mission capabilities and evaluate the effectiveness of legacy weapons systems to updated weapons

which can be integrated into the development of C4I and interoperability

• Manage and conduct systems evaluations and assessments by out lining concepts or capabilities into

requirements to ensure sustainment

• Provide updates to publications and technical orders utilizing appropriate AF Forms in accordance with

applicable Air Force Instructions and Publications to the Program Manager TLCS

• Enforce sustainment requirements as required from weapons and systems guidance, ensure compliance

with required UTC, pre-positioned equipment, and WRM directives as provided by the AFSFC

• Travel, as required, to CONUS and OCONUS locations, as directed by AFSFC, to sustain/maintain UTC,

repositioned and WRM SF equipment

• Perform training and briefings as requested by AFSFC IAW AFI 36-2646

• Coordinate and liaise with the Senior TLCS as instructed/required and assist with the maintenance,

accountability and sustainment of all SF equipment items

• Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate’s Degree preferred (equivalent in a relevant field of study in combination with lesser military

experience may suffice)

 

Licenses & Certifications:

• CA Instructor experience required (detailed, comprehensive knowledge of AFSFC owned UTC capability

packages and operations including applications, capabilities, and limitations)

 

Experience:

• Minimum of 6+ years of military operational experience pertaining to training, operations, adaptive

networking wideband communications, and weapons qualification and employment

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as operator/instructor with SF expeditionary training and operational

experience in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) or other recent combat

operational environments is required. Operational experience includes, but is not limited, to weapons and

tactical training, operational planning and execution, qualification and employment of weapons and

weapons systems, and communications equipment

 

Skills & Abilities:

• Comprehensive knowledge of MAJCOM, AFFOR, and CCMDs warfighter requirements to conduct

defense/security operations at forward operating air bases

• Comprehensive knowledge of MAJCOM, AFFOR, and CCMDs warfighter requirements to conduct

defense/security operations at forward operating air bases

• Knowledge of CCMD Concept of Operations (CONOPS)/Concept of Employment (CONEMP) and Tactics,

techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

• Comprehensive knowledge of AF, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and allied services military organizations,

weapons operations, lessons learned, and operational policy and procedures.

• Comprehensive knowledge of SF roles and responsibilities in combat and other contingency operations.

• Comprehensive knowledge the weapon s systems, web applications and databases.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Security Forces weapons qualifications/familiarization process and weapons

requirements.

• Knowledge of SF equipment, maintenance/sustainment, and UTC pre-positioned and WRM requirements.

• Knowledge of adaptive networking wideband communications, remotely operated weapons, security

sensor systems, SUAS, tactical SF vehicles, and UTC equipment.

• Must be physically capable to complete required tasks to include, but not limited to climbing, stretching,

lifting minimum of 50 pounds, and prolonged standing in weather conditions as mission dictates.
