This position provides customer service and clerical support for department operations.
路 Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes messages; refers to appropriate personnel.
路 Accepts and processes utility payments, taxes and license fees; issues receipts.
路 Makes account adjustments.
路 Processes refund checks.
路 Balances cash drawer.
路 Scans files for attachment to customer accounts.
路 Enters fees and makes deposits for other city departments.
路 Opens new utility accounts; closes accounts.
路 Researches and resolves customer account issues.
路 Assists customers by coordinating payment arrangements.聽
路 Maintains office supply inventory; reorders as needed.
路 Performs related duties.
Requirements

路 Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
路 Knowledge of city and departmental policies and procedures.
路 Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
路 Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
路 Skill in prioritizing and organizing work.
路 Skill in the maintenance of files and records.
路 Skill in the use of such office equipment as a computer, scanner, fax machine, and copier.
路 Skill in oral and written communication.
路 Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.聽
路 Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
路 Ability to be bonded.
