We have offices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Houston Texas, and Valencia California (corporate offices).   Job Summary: As an Engineer II you will support the team in the development and certification of FAA-PMA components. In this role, you will reverse engineer components, create precise 2D and 3D drawings, and prepare comprehensive submittal packets for FAA approval. You’ll support project timelines, coordinate with other engineers and contribute to all phases of the certification process, including testing and reporting. This is an opportunity to leverage your technical expertise while collaborating with a dedicated team in a dynamic aviation aerospace environment. Responsibilities:  •    Reverse engineer FAA- PMA components •    Create drawings in both 2- and 3-dimensional form  •    Prepare qualification test procedures/plans •    Perform equipment and material test studies •    Schedule and monitor program tasks and milestones •    Coordinate with vendors and customers •    Write Qualification Test Report •    Write FAA Project Specific Certification Plan •    Write/Update Manufacturing Orders •    Write/Update Weld Schedules •    Monitor the overall timeline of the project  •    Use tools to measure and verify part •    Plans and implements engineering program, including defining the project scope, activities and            milestones, per customer requirements and internal company protocols. •   Develops and maintains a schedule. •   Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly. •    Problem Solving   concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.  •    Develops, evaluates and approves manufacturing plans or design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. •    Prepares and review performance review for manager’s input.  •    Interfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met. •    Provides status and progress reports to customers, project team, and management •    Review and sign reports •    Attend meeting in FAA facilities in person QualificationsRequirements: •    Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)  •    2 years of experience in aerospace or aviation (preferably in safety equipment but not required) •    Strong and clear understanding of methodologies to reverse engineer  •    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy, highly organized, strong time management skills. •    Effective communication skills, verbal, written and presenting •    Proficiency in MS Suite and SolidWorks   Benefits: •    Competitive salary commensurate with experience. •    Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans. •    Retirement savings plan with employer match. •    Paid time off and flexible work arrangements. •    Professional development and training opportunities.     HRD is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  Qualified applications will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national or ethnic origin, age, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by application law.
