Job Title: Ambulance Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Shift: Night Shift PRN
Base Pay: Starts at $17.65 per hour, with higher pay based on experience.
On-Call: Must be available to respond to 9-1-1 calls when paged; paid $2.00 per hour while on call.
Call-Back Pay: Time and a half when called in, with a minimum of one hour of pay.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ambulance Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. In this role, you will provide emergency medical care to patients in urgent situations and ensure safe transport to medical facilities. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide appropriate medical careÂ
- Assess patient conditions and determine necessary treatmentÂ
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures within scope of practiceÂ
- Transport patients safely to healthcare facilitiesÂ
- Communicate effectively with medical personnel to ensure continuity of careÂ
- Maintain accurate and complete patient care documentationÂ
- Ensure ambulance equipment and supplies are properly maintained and ready for useÂ
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalentÂ
- Completion of an accredited EMT training programÂ
- Current EMT certificationÂ
- Current CPR certificationÂ
- Strong communication and interpersonal skillsÂ
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure and high-stress situationsÂ
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving recordÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as an Ambulance EMTÂ
- Advanced EMT certificationÂ
- Knowledge of local EMS protocols and proceduresÂ
