Position: Full-TimeĀ 

Wage: $16.17 – $18.77 per hour, depending on experience, with additional shift differentials for evening shifts.Ā

Ā Cherry County Hospital located in Valentine NE is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting infection control standards and overall patient care within the facility.


Position Summary

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas throughout Cherry County Hospital and Clinic in accordance with established procedures and healthcare regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, including daily cleaning and terminal cleaning following patient discharge
  • Prepare labor and delivery rooms after use during scheduled housekeeping hours
  • Perform routine cleaning duties including mopping, waxing, dusting, and vacuuming floors
  • Clean walls, windows, bathrooms, offices, and public areas
  • Restock supplies in patient rooms
  • Follow proper isolation and infection control procedures when cleaning designated areas
  • Identify and report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor
  • Assist other departments as needed and appropriate
  • Participate in required training, workshops, and educational programs
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, personnel, and organizational information
  • Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and corporate compliance standards
