Pivotal Health offers a unique pathway for respiratory professionals seeking to earn their Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential and grow their career in the rapidly expanding field of sleep medicine.
What You'll Do
As a Sleep Technologist, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring high-quality diagnostic testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies
- Prepare patients for testing and explain procedures
- Apply electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment according to industry standards
- Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment
- Monitor and evaluate patient physiological data throughout the night
- Perform PAP mask fittings and troubleshooting
- Score and analyze sleep, respiratory, and cardiac events
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Ensure compliance with all laboratory, regulatory, and safety standards
- Deliver outstanding patient-focused care and support
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography Program
- Current New York PSG License and/or CRT/RRT License
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Required immunizations and health clearances
- Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Current RPSGT Certification
- Previous sleep laboratory experience
- Experience with PAP therapy and overnight sleep studies
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Candidates without an RPSGT credential must possess the required NY PSG and/or RT licensure.
Compensation
Pay Range
$40.00 - $53.00 per hour
Compensation is based on experience, credentials, and overall qualifications.
Additional earning opportunities available through productivity and scoring incentives.
