What You'll Do
Patient Care & Sleep Study Preparation
- Review patient histories, physician orders, and testing requirements.
- Explain testing procedures and ensure patient comfort throughout the study.
- Prepare and calibrate sleep diagnostic equipment.
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to AASM standards and laboratory protocols.
- Verify proper operation of recording systems and monitoring equipment.
- Perform PAP mask fitting and troubleshooting.
Sleep Study Monitoring & Data Collection
- Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies.
- Monitor patient safety and study quality throughout testing.
- Collect and analyze physiologic data related to sleep, respiratory, neurological, and cardiac activity.
- Ensure artifact-free recordings and make real-time adjustments as needed.
- Follow established protocols for PAP titration and specialized sleep testing procedures.
Analysis & Documentation
- Score and analyze sleep studies.
- Identify and document respiratory, cardiac, and sleep-related events.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records.
- Prepare study data for physician interpretation.
- Support quality assurance and laboratory performance initiatives.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all state, federal, facility, and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and laboratory standards.
- Adhere to all applicable policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State PSG License
- Current RPSGT Credential
- Pediatric sleep experience required
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography Program
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Required immunizations, health clearances, and/or titers
- Strong patient care, technical, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CRT or RRT credential
- Experience with complex pediatric sleep studies
- PAP titration experience
- Sleep study scoring proficiency
- Knowledge of AASM guidelines and best practices
Compensation
Pay Range
$40-$53 per hour DOE
Compensation is based on experience, credentials, and qualifications.
Additional Earnings Available Through:

To qualify for the advertised pay range, candidates should have no employment gaps greater than two months as an RPSGT and/or RRT.
