Automotive Technician

Position Overview

Vallejo Hyundai is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, productive, and committed to fixing vehicles right the first time while maintaining strong productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Hyundai and pre-owned vehicles
• Accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
• Complete repair orders efficiently and according to dealership and manufacturer standards
• Maintain high levels of productivity and minimize comebacks
• Perform multi-point inspections and recommend needed services
• Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and repairs
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Stay up to date with Hyundai training and certifications

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an automotive technician required
• Hyundai or OEM certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
• Own tools required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
