What Does a DSP Do?

As a Direct Support Professional, you help individuals with developmental disabilities live safe, independent, and fulfilling lives.

You will:

  • Support daily routines and activities

  • Help with meals and light household tasks

  • Assist with personal care (grooming, hygiene, dressing)

  • Encourage social activities and community involvement

  • Provide transportation to appointments or outings

  • Be a positive role model and advocate

No medical background required — just patience, reliability, and a caring attitude.


No Experience? No Problem.

We provide:
On-the-job training
Support to obtain DSP certifications
CPR/First Aid training
Ongoing coaching and development

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • At least 21 years old

  • Valid California Driver’s License

  • Ability to pass background screening

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
