Groundsman
River City Tree Service is in search of a reliable, self-motivated Groundsman to welcome to our crew. We have been servicing the greater St. Louis area for more than a decade. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain industry knowledge and experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Ability to identify and prevent on-site hazards by ensuring work areas are clearly marked with cones, signs, etc.
Gather and carry brush to the truck/chipper
- Load and unload logs, brush, debris, etc. with or without the use of machinery
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain, etc.)
- Willing to work on weekends, if needed, for storm damage and other emergency
- Ability to operate and maintain necessary tools and equipment
- Help enforce safety practices for all crew members
Report punctually each day prepared to work
- Ability to think critically and use discretion to ensure jobs get completed in a safe and efficient manner
- Learn to properly identify trees and bushes
- Ability to perform other tasks as required or assigned
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
CDL is not required but must be willing to obtain
- Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds on a frequent basis
