Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hand MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MIG welding on a variety of metal components, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and production standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Starting Rate: 23.00 Hourly

Shift: 3rd (10:00 P.M. - 6:30 A.M.) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on steel, aluminum, and other metals as required

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols to determine specifications

  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting voltage, amperage, and gas flow

  • Inspect materials and completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications

  • Clean and prepare surfaces prior to welding (grinding, cutting, etc.)

  • Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring proper functionality and safety

  • Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines and procedures

  • Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality control personnel

  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining high-quality workmanship

  • Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or safety concerns

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • AWS Certificate 

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of MIG welding experience (or equivalent training)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols

  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices

  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial environments

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing or warehouse setting

  • Exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and loud noise (proper PPE required at all times)


3rd shift - 10:00PM - 6 :30AM Sunday night - Friday morning, with overtime as needed.
