Job Description:

Salary: $42,000 yearly

Scope of Position

Supports the overall function of delivering outreach, orientations, and intakes; develops preliminary workforce career path plans; and supports ongoing delivery of career advisement and basic workforce services to job seekers across Welcome Center and Career Resource Center operations.

Essential Functions

路 Counsel, motivate and encourage jobseekers in advancing employment, training and retention goals, and provide support in resolving issues that may impede successful job placement

路 Coordinate with programmatic Intake and Eligibility Specialists to conduct regularly scheduled intake and eligibility sessions across the CareerLink庐 Lehigh Valley locations

路 Provide overview of available job search resources and workshops

路 Determine individual customer job readiness needs and employment and/or training focus

路 Assist with and monitors PA CareerLink庐 registrations, resume development and job applications

路 Identify and evaluate methods for improving program processes and services and make recommendations to the Career Resource Center Coordinator and Operations Manager

路 Conduct timely, accurate and complete eligibility determination for program applicants

路 Ensure 100% eligibility verification of all program applicants prior to registration/enrollment

路 Assist staff in communicating eligibility criteria, including packet/application submission and income verification

路 Develop, demonstrate, and maintain programmatic knowledge and competency in all of the above areas by utilizing internal and external policy, as well as pertinent law, regulations and legislation

路 Document all participant contacts and activities in case notes and ensure that contacts are made as required

路 Conduct job seeker interviews and consult in determining appropriate career pathway and assist with career planning

路 Assist with the mitigation of customer concerns

路 Support off-site events and CareerLink satellite site locations

路 Inform jobseeker of services available in partnership with PA CareerLink庐 Lehigh Valley or other community resources and assist with appropriate referral

路 Ensure all community and job seeker resources are current and available

路 Operate a customer-centric environment and meet customer expectations

路 Monitor Unemployment Compensation participant flow

路 Document and prepare statistical monitoring and recording pertaining to Basic CareerLink services

路 Participate in staff meetings and development trainings

路 Other opportunities as available

Education and Experience Requirements

路 Two years of professional experience in career counseling, case management or a related customer service capacity

路 Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills

路 Bachelor's degree is preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and experience

路 Customer Service experience required

路 Must have clean driving record and reliable transportation

路 Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred
