Position OverviewÂ
This position will provide essential care to our residents by assisting them with activities of daily living while ensuring wellbeing and safety.Â
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing services to each resident according to the resident service plan.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, and mobility.Â
- Monitor health, safety and well-being of the residents by taking and recording vitals, reporting nuances to supervisor.Â
- Support resident mobility by assisting with transfers, positioning, walking, and using mobility aids as needed.Â
- Document information pertaining to changes in residents’ functional status, personal needs, appointments, etc.Â
- Maintain an accurate record of chargeable services and submit record to supervisor by the designated date each month.
- Respond promptly to call signals and resident emergencies, assisting with their immediate need or contacting emergency support.Â
- Assist with minor housekeeping of residents’ apartments, including laundry if applicable.
- Maintain clean and sanitary resident spaces, adhering to infection control protocols.Â
- Encourage socialization among residents and promote activities, chaperoning and assisting as requested.Â
- Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations, and personnel.Â
- Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-services
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Other Requirements
- Certified Nurse’s Aide Certification and active with state Nurse Aid Registry
- Basic First Aid Training
- High school diploma or GED
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Promote teamwork in providing services to resident
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing excellent care
- Ability to follow directives and work effectively in a team environment
- Skills in nurturing and interest in working with older adults
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior living
- Six months working in a healthcare settingÂ
