CAR WASH SHIFT SUPERVISOR – JOB DESCRIPTION

Car Wash Shift Supervisor Responsibilities:

The Car Wash Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising their shift’s performance and managing tasks in a practical and objective manner.  The Car Wash Shift Supervisor maintains a safe and secure environment while coordinating job expectations and cooperating with other employees, managers, and departments of the company to serve the needs of the customer. The Car Wash Shift Supervisor reports directly to the Car Wash Manager.

Car Wash Shift Supervisor duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Greet all customers 
• Make sales transactions quickly and accurately
• Perform visual inspections of the condition of each vehicle prior to sending it through the car wash
• Direct customers to enter car wash or guides vehicle onto wheel track of automatic mechanism with a focused, pleasant, and competent demeanor
• Clean rear of vehicle, using brush and soap
• Activate wash mechanism; observe operation to detect equipment malfunctions
• Receive and report maintenance issues to Car Wash Manager if malfunctions occur
• Be proficient with all policies and procedures with the ability to perform them on a daily basis as needed
• Ensure property and grounds are clean and maintained for customers, including the unclogging of vacuums, hanging of hoses, emptying of trash and keeping lot swept and clean at all times
• Complete shift reports and report issues
• Execute daily checklist and cleaning procedures
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all customers and employees
• Lead, train, motivate, and develop team members

Experience/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong mathematics skills
• Portray a positive attitude and great work habits at all times
• Self-motivated; dependable
• Strong customer service skills 
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hours
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining 100% customer focus
• Problem solving skills
• Able to work in all types of environmental conditions
• Able to use appropriate hand signals
• Able to work around chemicals

Hours:

The Car Wash Shift Supervisor is a full time position and works up 40 hours per week. Hours are not guaranteed.

Salary/Income:

The Car Wash Shift Supervisor is a non-exempt, hourly position
