Job DetailsJob Location: 2306 Falkenburg - Tampa , FL 33619Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $52,500.00 Salary  Mission Statement The Children’s Network of Hillsborough is committed to working with the community to protect children and preserve families.   General Purpose of Job The Primary objective of this role is to lead, support and foster the success and development of the Family Safety Worker (FSW), as well as the clients involved. Support Family Safety Worker(s) as they work in conjuncture with the child welfare case management staff to support parental progress in treatment interventions, education, and other supportive services; and to assist in maintaining child safety and well-being.   QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist staff with monitoring safety plans and client interactions through field-based observation. Provide staff with resources, guidance, and knowledge to effectively engage with their assigned clients. Track measurable data to assess Family Safety Workers’ engagement with their assigned clients. Complete intake for supervised visitation referrals. Coordinate and assign requests for supervised visitation and transportation to agency Family Safety Workers. Support staff in managing their time to serve families effectively and efficiently. Act as a resource to families as they access formal and informal community supports. Monitor staff-supervised visits and document observations to ensure engagement and progress of families; provide documentation of all client activities during interactions with children or families. Participate in staffings and case consultations. Participate in court hearings as needed. Participate in the quality improvement process. Ensure adherence to all data collection and documentation requirements in automated systems, including FSFN. Review and ensure staff complete all documentation and reports in a professional and timely manner. Supervise staff, including conducting regular individual and group meetings and providing case consultation. Provide guidance, coaching, motivation, and training to Family Safety Workers; develop and implement staff development and training plans. Maintain staff time-off requests, including vacation, sick leave, and timesheets. Drive and complete field-based work assignments, including observing and supporting staff, as well as meeting with clients in their homes or at various community locations. Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects. Must be able to drive and have reliable transportation to perform required field-based activities to include observation of staff for performance and support, as required   Working HOurs Children’s Network of Hillsborough’s standard business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position is an in-office based position with fieldwork requirements, that averages 40 hours per week. Work hours may vary outside of these standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet operational demands. All hours worked will be compensated in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and agency policies, including applicable overtime and other compensation requirements   Travel Travel within and outside of Hillsborough County is required. The employee must be able to drive and have reliable transportation to perform the essential functions of the position.   Training All employees are required to complete fifteen (15) hours of training annually, which may be completed online or in a classroom setting. Employees who hold a credential or license relevant to their position must ensure that all training and continuing education requirements are met to maintain their credential or licensure.   Supervisory Responsibilities This position provides direct oversight of Family safety Workers (FSW) Qualifications  Education and Experience Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; A.A. degree or bachelor's degree is preferred A minimum of one (1) year of child welfare or family support related experience. Must have a working knowledge of community services and resources in our local five (5) county area.   Skills and Abilities- Must possess strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage, coach, and support a team in a high-demand environment. Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution abilities are essential to effectively engage with staff, families, and community partners. The supervisor must demonstrate sound judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to assess and respond to complex family dynamics and safety concerns. Organizational and time management skills are critical to ensure timely documentation, compliance with policies, and efficient case oversight. An understanding of child welfare practices, trauma-informed care, and cultural competency is necessary to guide staff in promoting the safety and well-being of children and families. Proficiency in relevant technology and data systems is also required for accurate case tracking and reporting.   pre-employment requirements Certificates, License, Registrations, backgrounds, drug screens, Etc. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, procedures, and professional reports is essential. Must be able to write clear, concise, and accurate documentation and correspondence.   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Must possess basic mathematical skills to perform essential job functions, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and basic statistics may be required for analyzing data, monitoring performance metrics, and managing resources. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential when handling documentation, budgets, and case-related data.   REASONING ABILITY Must demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess complex situations, make sound decisions under pressure, and guide staff through crisis intervention and case planning. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations effectively. Must be able to identify potential risks, evaluate options, and implement appropriate solutions in a timely and ethical manner. Flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are essential.   Physical Demands This role requires the ability to perform field and community-based work, including traveling to various locations, conducting home visits, and attending meetings or events. The position may involve prolonged periods of standing, walking, and driving, as well as occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds. Flexibility and stamina are essential to effectively engage with families in diverse settings and respond to needs as they arise. The noise level in the office is typically moderate.
