Location: Brandon, FLSchedule: As Needed, Monday–FridayPay: Starting at $25/hr, based on experience

 

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a per diem COTA with at least 1 year of hand therapy experience to support our outpatient clinic. You’ll treat upper extremity conditions including tendon injuries, sprains, and post-op fractures, working alongside experienced hand therapists and orthopedic surgeons.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
  • Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.
  • Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
  • Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program
  • National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED
  • Must have previous 1 year experience working with hand therapy patients. 
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Valid state driver’s license
