Job Description Summary:
Part Time Casual, Nurse Administrator for Van Wert Hospital, Med Surg Unit on nights.Hours 6pm-6am
The Nurse Administrator I position is responsible for maintaining efficient and effective operations of nursing units/hospitals by providing direction for patient care services, patient throughput, and support for all hospital departments
Responsibilities And Duties:
50%Contributes to administrative functioning of nursing services by reviewing staffing, reassigning and allocating staff as appropriate to meet changing patient care needs.

Serves as a clinical resource and role model to nursing staff. Ensures safe and equitable working environments. Uses information systems to retrieve, implement, and retain essential records and services.Â

Interacts with internal and external customers and serves as a resource for information and problem solving (i.e. media, patient relations, risk management, security, hospital administration, patients, and families).
10%
Serves as a liaison between nursing services and other hospital departments for problem solving and problem resolution (i.e. Pharmacy, Lab, etc.).

Coordinates and/or assists with activities during internal and external emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree (Required)RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of NursingAdditional Job Description:
Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or Current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state. Field of Study: Nursing Years of Experience 2 to 5 years
Staffing and scheduling patterns, communication, interpersonal relationships skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution
Minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS Certified
- Specialized Knowledge in related field
- Demonstrated leadership skills
