NWECP is a Specialty Eye Care Clinic with multiple locations around the Portland, Oregon area and one in Vancouver, Washington. We focus on the neuro-visual system and syntonic therapy, along with vision therapy, dry eye treatment, ocular diseases, myopia management, infantSEE, specialty contact lenses, and more.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized Call Center Representative to act as the vital first impression for all patients calling our clinics. In this role, you will coordinate telephone customer support services, ensure patients have an exceptional experience, and help keep our multi-clinic schedule running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Experience: Be the warm, welcoming first impression for all calling patients. Answer every call with a smile and a dedication to providing an exceptional patient experience.
  • Schedule Management: Schedule appointments for all patients across our three NWECP locations and for all providers.
  • Referral Coordination: Schedule all referrals that have been facilitated by the Administrative Assistant.
  • Patient Education & Support: Educate patients on our clinic's specialty services and provide accurate directions to their prospective clinic locations.
  • Call Management: Maintain the Weave call distribution system, ensuring calls are automatically and uniformly distributed among personnel and departments. Filter sales calls directly to voicemail.
  • Follow-up: Facilitate all confirmation calls for each clinic location and doctor's schedule.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a call center, customer service, or medical reception role is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, professional phone etiquette.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer literacy and experience with scheduling software or phone distribution systems (Comcast experience is a plus).
