Position Summary
The Lab Tech maintains and improves patients' oral health by fabricating fixed and removable prostheses according to dentist prescriptions.

Essential Position Functions

  • Must be able to accomplish all general duties including; interpreting lab Rx, supply inventory, equipment maintenance and operation, model production and articulation, infection control procedures, finishing and polishing appliances, shipping and receiving.
  • Carry out all duties within guidelines of company’s infection control protocol.
  • Majority of time (approximately 60%) is spent performing tasks in some or all of the following
    categories:
    • Crown & Bridge: all general duties, production of crown and bridge models, maintaining of log book for cases, waxing, casting and finishing gold crowns, use lab scanner and design software for single unit anterior and posterior crowns, soldering and simple repairs.
    • Dentures & Partials: all general duties, custom trays, bite rims, flasking and processing, simple set ups and repairs, relines, vacuum formed splints and night guards and bleaching trays.
    • Ortho: all general duties, model work, processing and finishing, simple repairs and set ups, custom trays, vacuum formed splints and night guards and bleaching trays.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required and dental tech trade preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience which will provide the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

Expected hourly hiring range for this position depending on experience:
$21—$24 USD

Compensation

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  

This position is also eligible for incentive pay in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan.

Paid Time Off (PTO): Eligible employees will accrue a minimum of 120 PTO hours per employment year in addition to seven paid holidays annually. The Company’s PTO program combines vacation and sick leave, which is more generous than Washington State’s Sick Leave Law. Employees in part-time roles working less than 40 hours per week will accrue PTO on a pro-rated basis.

Physical Requirements

The work is primarily performed while sitting and/or standing, but will require occasional walking, bending, stooping and carrying light items such as papers, books, or other supplies. The incumbent uses a computer and other standard office equipment to complete tasks.
