Job DetailsJob Location: Corporate - 09 - Vancouver, WA 98684Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayPosition Summary The Director, Purchasing and SIOP is responsible for leading the organization’s purchasing strategy and Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans across the business. This role owns supplier relationships and procurement performance while driving the cross-functional SIOP cadence that connects sales, operations, finance, and purchasing. This position ensures reliable material availability, optimized inventory investment, and cost-effective sourcing that supports service levels, profitability, and long-term supply chain resilience. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead the enterprise purchasing strategy, including sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiation for direct and indirect spend categories. Own and facilitate the monthly SIOP process, leading demand, supply, and financial reconciliation meetings to align cross-functional plans. Partner with Sales, Operations, and Finance leadership to translate demand forecasts into achievable production and procurement plans. Drive inventory optimization strategies that balance customer service levels, working capital, and total landed cost. Manage supplier performance and risk, establishing scorecards, conducting business reviews, and resolving escalated supply issues. Establish and monitor key performance indicators for purchasing and SIOP effectiveness, including forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and cost savings. Lead, develop, and mentor a team of buyers, planners, and analysts, building organizational capability in purchasing and supply chain planning. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that reduce cost, improve process efficiency, and strengthen supply chain resilience. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Partner with executive leadership to shape supply chain strategy and support long-term business planning.   Qualifications/Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field required. Experience: Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain planning, including demonstrated leadership of a SIOP/S&OP process, prior people-management experience, and experience operating in a multi-site or multi-business-unit manufacturing or distribution environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems, demand planning/SIOP software, and Microsoft Excel; ability to build and interpret data models and reports. Knowledge: Deep understanding of procurement practices, supply chain planning methodologies, and inventory management principles, including contract law and supplier risk management fundamentals. Other: Strong analytical, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across sales, operations, and finance. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and use a computer daily. Primarily an office environment, with occasional visits to manufacturing, service centers, or warehouse facilities.   Travel: This position may require up to 25% travel for supplier visits, site meetings, or training.
