We are pioneering innovation and paving a better tomorrow with factory automation solutions worldwide.   Summary: Primary responsibilities include assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting of industrial control panels.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Build panels and related components from electrical and layout prints Perform complex panel layout tasks (drilling, cutting holes, pulling wires, etc.) Wire and assemble multi-door or high-level panel systems (e.g. HLs, SP, MBS, FLs, VFDs) Identify and take independent corrective action on issues related to BOMs and prints Identify and report material or parts issue to the Material Handler Communicate discrepancies in drawings or BOMs with Electrical Engineering Use hand and power tools proficiently Other duties as assigned   Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Knowledge, skills and/or abilities:   Knowledge- LEAN Principles Intermediate to advanced knowledge of electrical schematics Basic knowledge of ANSI/ISO and IEC codes and symbols Familiarity with UL, CSA, NEC, and some CE codes   Skills- Ability to use and read a tape measure within 1/16” tolerance Correct use of basic power and hand tools Advanced print and schematic reading Skilled in layout and assembly of complex panels Ability to wire and terminate with minimal supervision Capable of identifying components from BOMs Experience using engraving tools and wire identification systems Familiar with drilling, tapping, measuring, and assembly techniques   Abilities- Foster and work within a team environment Actively participates in safety programs and complies with all safety policies Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects at one time Maintains a clean and safe work area Displays attention to detail and consistently follows Standard Work Instructions (when available) when completing tasks Communicates well with peers, supervisor, customers, vendors, and other departments Actively participates in 6S and other Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts   Education and/or Experience:    High School Diploma or GED required 3-5+ years of experience in electrical or panel assembly preferred Vocational or technical training or equivalent experience preferred   Columbia Machine offers a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, short and long term disability, 401(k), incentive compensation, paid holidays, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.
