Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Vancouver , WA 98661Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $52.25 - $62.65 HourlyPOSITION TITLE: Registered Nurse (RN) DEPARTMENT: Health and Human Services (HHS) – Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) LOCATION: Vancouver, Washington REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing STATUS: Hourly; Full-Time WAGE RANGE: $52.25 - $62.65 per hour SCHEDULE: Tuesday – Friday, 06:30 am – 3:30 pm, Saturday, 06:30 am – 1:00 pm CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled   Position Summary: The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring that all RNs, LVNs, and CMAs are clinically competent and understand their roles and responsibilities within a patient-centered, team-based environment. The care team will deliver care in the most efficient, standardized, and evidence-based process. The RN seeks collaboration and consultation with other health professionals. They will assist in the ongoing assessment of clinical education and team approaches to patient care. The RN will be a content expert in standardized workflows. They will be responsible for gathering and evaluating data to improve practice support, quality care, and clinical staff competency in collaboration with the Clinic Director, Director of Nursing, and Medical Director. The RN will also perform nursing services to patients in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, telephone triage, performing patient education, care coordination, assessing patients’ physical and psychological needs, administering medications, assisting providers with procedures, and responding to medical emergencies.   Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and service excellence.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to make knowledgeable clinical assessments and judgments (nursing process).  Must possess initiative and ability to work independently.  Ability to work as a member of the care team.  Expertise/ knowledge in Process Improvement.  Expertise in standardization and workflow development and implementation.  Strong data and computer skills (able to monitor and evaluate workflows and processes). Ability to prioritize tasks.  Shares responsibility for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in the clinic setting. Participates in case conferences, sharing knowledge, information, and ideas among team members. Administer/dispense medications/vaccines in accordance with applicable regulations and policy. Ensures the treatment plans are being followed. Other related responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in training staff in medical matters and patient care; attendance at professional meetings as required; assistance of the Physician during physical examinations; maintenance of dispensing room; maintenance of medical equipment. Possess the knowledge and understanding of how to recognize and manage an opioid overdose. Ability to react to frequent changes in duties and volume of work. All positions are required to adhere to CIT’s established safety policies regarding vaccine requirements and personal protective equipment (PPE). QualificationsMinimum Requirements: Graduate of an accredited RN program; bachelor’s degree in nursing highly desirable Active RN License in good standing. Must maintain continuing education credits as required by the Board of Licensure and organizational needs. 5 years clinical experience. One year supervisory or leadership position highly desirable. BLS Certification, ACLS Certification preferred. Applicants must have: Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Ability to pass drug and background screening. Ability to provide health and TB clearance. Licensure in good standing and adherence to all applicable laws and regulations. Must have no pending legal inquiries or license probation. A valid driver’s license is required when driving vehicles for work-related purposes. Preferred Requirements: Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS 2 years of recent/previous work experience in a substance use disorder setting.   Background Investigation Requirements: Pre-employment drug screen. Reference checks, education and employment verification. Federal, state, and/or tribal criminal history and sanction checks including fingerprint verification. Has not been found guilty of, charged with, received a deferred sentence, received a conditional discharge of, or entered a plea of not contest to, or entered a plea of guilty to any one felony or misdemeanor crimes of violence, sexual assault, molestation, exploitation or sexual contact; prostitution; or crimes committed against person(s) or children.   Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; stop, kneel, bend, or crouch; use hands to manipulate, touch, or grasp objects and materials and type on a keyboard; reach with hands and arms; and perform repetitive tasks. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing abilities to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively in person and via telephone. The employee occasionally is required to lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.   Work Environment: Work is performed in an office and clinical setting. Employees may be exposed to unpleasant odors, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases, as well as frequent exposure to dust, fumes, airborne particles, and/or allergens. Situations occur where PPE (personal protective equipment) is needed. Work may involve working with hostile, violent, or offensive individuals. Overnight travel, weekend, and/or evening work is occasionally required. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
