MAJOR DUTIES: The Revenue Cycle Manager (RCM) leads and optimizes the end-to-end revenue cycle, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing, collections, and reimbursement processes. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role is responsible for driving revenue integrity, improving cash flow, and aligning revenue cycle operations with organizational financial strategy. This is a salaried, exempt position. In fulfilling these duties, the incumbent performs the following duties independently:
Revenue Cycle Leadership & Performance
- Lead the full revenue cycle lifecycle, including billing, collections, accounts receivable, payer contracting, and provider enrollment
- Drive improvements in key metrics such as AR aging, denial rates, and reimbursement timelines
- Establish and monitor performance metrics and ensure accountability for results
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to reduce revenue leakage
- Optimize EHR and billing system workflows
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
Data Analysis & Financial Insight
- Produce and interpret financial and operational reports
- Identify trends and root causes impacting revenue performance
- Provide actionable recommendations to leadership
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, coach, and develop revenue cycle staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development
- Ensure staff are trained on billing practices, compliance, and systems
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and applicable federal and Washington State regulations
- Oversee billing audits and corrective actions
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory and reimbursement changes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with clinical, finance, and operations teams to resolve billing issues
- Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue-related inquiries
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including payers
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, billing, and collections
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to improve revenue cycle performance, analyze data, and lead teams
- Working knowledge of EHR systems, Medicaid and managed care reimbursement, and behavioral health billing practices
GUIDELINES
Requires that the incumbent relies on specialized training and/or equivalent experience and performs duties in accordance with Washington Administrative Codes, Federal regulations governing the confidentiality of patient files, and Lifeline Connections Policy and Procedure Manual.
PERSONAL CONTACTS
Contacts are with the members of the treatment team, patients, significant others of the patients, representatives of various community agencies specializing in the treatment of substance use and mental illness, and related community representatives including hospital personnel, lawyers, probation officers, and other court officials. All personal contacts are carried out in accordance with federal and state laws dealing with the confidentiality of patient records.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, speak clearly, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate writing utensils and keys on a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift and/or move maximum of 15 lbs.

- Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: VP of Finance and Operations
Salary: $90,000 - 100,000 Annually
