Overview:

Join Vancouver Hauling as a Journeyman Diesel Mechanic performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and equipment to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently.


Schedule: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (Regular OT available)
Pay: $35.06 – $37.66/hr DOE


Key Requirements

  • 4–6+ years heavy-duty diesel experience
  • Journeyman-level diagnostics and repair skills
  • Completion of a recognized diesel technician apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
  • Physically able to lift 50–75 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with Cummins & PACCAR engines (ISL, ISX12, MX-11, etc.)
  • Proficient with INSITE & DAVIE4 diagnostic tools
  • Strong electrical, CAN bus, and ECM troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, driveline, and suspension systems
  • Ability to perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Provide own tools

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and repair engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and components
  • Perform PMs and DOT inspections
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Support team and mentor junior techs

Preferred

  • CDL, ASE certifications
  • Refuse/vocational truck experience
  • Completion of a recognized diesel technician apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
