About the Role

Kägwerks is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to support the development, testing, and validation of advanced tactical communications products used by military personnel around the world. Working within the Electrical Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and sales teams to bring innovative products from concept through to deployment.

This is a hands-on role where you will build, test, troubleshoot, and validate electronic systems while supporting multiple new product and prototype developments each year. Your work will directly contribute to the performance, reliability, and mission readiness of technologies that support operational success and national security objectives.

If you enjoy solving technical challenges, working with cutting-edge technology, and being part of a highly collaborative engineering team, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test circuit boards, wiring harnesses, cables, and complete electro-mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to support successful system integration.
  • Execute established test procedures and accurately collect, document, and report test results.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies.
  • Support prototype builds and assist in preparing units for engineering evaluations.
  • Perform fault isolation, component-level troubleshooting, and basic root cause analysis to support engineering development and product validation activities.
  • Contribute to process improvements, test method enhancements, and documentation updates.
  • Maintain a safe and organized engineering laboratory environment.
  • Occasional travel of less than 10% may be required for testing, field evaluations, or supplier visits.

About You

You are a hands-on Electrical Engineering Technician with experience building, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems in a development or production environment. You enjoy solving technical problems, take pride in delivering quality work, and thrive in a collaborative engineering team.

You have experience with PCB assembly and rework, wiring harness fabrication, and electronic testing using equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and power supplies. You can confidently read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation, and are comfortable performing fault isolation and troubleshooting to the component or subsystem level.

IPC certifications such as IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or IPC/WHMA-A-620 are highly regarded but not essential, as training can be provided. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills will be key to your success in this role.

U.S. citizenship is required and the successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Benefits and Culture

Our culture is supportive, collaborative, and mission-focused. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team where ideas are shared, innovation is encouraged, and technical excellence is valued.

We are looking for someone with genuine passion, curiosity, and a can-do attitude.

Our employees receive:

  • 15 days of accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) annually
  • 10 paid federal holidays
  • Access to a company-sponsored health insurance plan
  • A generous 401(k) plan with immediate vesting and employer matching contributions
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • Flexible core working hours

At Kägwerks, we take a personal approach to career development and provide opportunities to make a meaningful impact on technologies that support the men and women who serve.
