Description

Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.

The Assembly Technician will work on all aspects of pump and industrial manufacturing as part of a mechanical team consisting of entry-level, mid-level and senior mechanics. You will learn every aspect of chassis, engine and industrial assembly, contributing and building your mechanical skills. You will prepare with appropriate tools and safety equipment, take instructions and be a team player.

You will report to the Assembly Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Work on all aspects of pump and package manufacturing under the guidance of Lead Assemblers and the Assembly Supervisor
  • Follow all company procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations
  • Assemble and build units that exceed all quality standards within production time constraints
  • Conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance of Assembly equipment, tools, and machinery
  • Operate manufacturing equipment (training available)
  • Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Understand job instructions and complete required job paperwork and documentation in English
  • Able and willing to work in both a warehouse and outdoor environment within different weather conditions

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma / GED, or equivalent additional job experience
  • Have working knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Experience working on diesel engines, as well as wet/dry pumps
  • Able to provide personal tools to complete assigned tasks

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Employees must be able to frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Close vision is required for this job. While performing the responsibilities of this job, employees are required to speak and understand English, stand and sit, and use their fingers and thumbs. Employees are frequently required to reach with their hands and arms and are frequently required to kneel or stoop.

While working in the factory, performing inspections and troubleshooting equipment, employees may be asked to work under varying weather conditions, operate heavy machinery and tolerate moderate to loud noise levels.
